BRYAN JEFFRIES, VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Bryan Jeffries joins Public Safety Financial/Galloway as Vice President of Business Development after a distinguished career as a public servant, labor leader, and author with a career spanning over three decades in public safety, government, and policy advocacy. He retired in 2023 as a Captain/Paramedic from the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, where he dedicated his career to serving his community.

In addition to his service in the fire department, Bryan also retired as President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Arizona after 25 years of impactful local and state union leadership. His efforts led to significant advancements in firefighter health and safety, securing cancer coverage for first responders, which earned him recognition as an Arizona Leader of the Year by the Arizona Capitol Times in both 2020 and 2021.

Bryan’s leadership extended into the political arena as a former City Councilman for the City of Phoenix and as Chief of Staff to Phoenix Mayor Thelda Williams. His influence in public policy was recognized by The Arizona Republic, which named him one of the “Arizonans to Watch” in 2015. He was also featured in The New York Times for leading Arizona’s public safety pension reform efforts.

An accomplished author, Bryan wrote Fire Service Labor-Management Relations: A Practitioner’s Guide, a valuable resource for professionals in the fire service and labor relations fields.

Bryan’s academic credentials reflect his deep commitment to learning. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Phoenix College—where he was recently inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame—a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from George Washington University, and a Master of Liberal Arts in Legal and Ethical Studies from the University of Baltimore. He is also a proud graduate of the Labor and Work Life Studies Program at Harvard University.

Most recently, Bryan served as Director of Deferred Compensation for the IAFF Financial Corporation, continuing his mission to improve the lives of firefighters through financial education and planning.
